The University of Florida has entered into an Oracle Campus Wide program. Under this site license agreement, any UF group can use Oracle's Enterprise database software, as well as, the Real Application Clustering Software and Tuning/Management Utilities. Technical support and maintenance for these products is included. In addition, other Oracle products can be obtained through this contract at an excellent discount of 45%.
The license is a cooperative effort with all the SUS schools and the contract is being funded by the groups on campus who already use the products. The groups supporting the site license are:
- Bridges
- UF Foundation
- Academic Technology (AT)
- Florida Center for Library Automation (FCLA)
- Student Health
- Facilities Planning
- The Geoplan Center
Terms and Conditions of Use:
- The software can be used for administrative, teaching, research and community services functions.
- The site license allows any UF group to use the software on any UF equipment at no direct cost to them.
- The software may not be used for any non-medical school functions of an associated medical center or university hospital (e.g., patient management and billing).
- All full-time and part-time student, faculty and staff may use the software at home in pursuit of their educational work. Use of the software for commercial (or non UF purposes) is prohibited.
- The agreement includes Software Update Licensing and phone and tech support.
- All teaching departments may have OAI and WDP Membership for free.
About OAI and WDP Membership.
All teaching departments at the University of Florida may
participate in the Oracle Academic Initiative (OAI) and/or the Oracle Workforce Development Program (WDP) or successor
programs that may replace OAI/WDP. The OAI/WDP membership fee will be waived** for any department that elects to
incorporate Oracle programs into its classroom teaching. Teaching departments may apply for the free membership at
https://oai.oracle.com/pls/oai/oaiapps.psp_app_screen?p_for=oaiapps_membership Once the teaching department is established as an OAI/WDP
member, the department will be licensed to use the programs available under OAI/WDP for the purposes set forth in the
applicable agreement.
**Normally a membership fee is charge for these programs. Be sure to identify your department as part of the University of Florida. The Oracle on-line system should automatically allow registration without a fee. If a fee is accessed, please call our office and we will request that the issue be resolved.

All software can be obtained freely through Oracle® E-Delivery Web site: (http://edelivery.oracle.com/) When validating access to the web site, identify the Company Name as "University of Florida" (you may include Department name) and use a University of Florida email address to avoid misidentification.
*All software packs are included in the main download package of the software.
