- Adobe Products
Students can purchase licenses for certain Adobe software products (such as Adobe Acrobat, Dreamweaver etc.) for a discounted price from the UF Computing Helpdesk. Please visit the Software Services page at the UF Computing Helpdesk for more information. - ESRI geographic information systems (GIS) software: ArcGIS
(ArcInfo/ArcView)
GeoPlan Center at University of Florida provides a student version of ArcGIS for students for use on a personally owned computer. Visit ArcGIS page for more information. The student will need a valid Gator 1 ID to be able to participate in the program. - LabVIEW Student Licensing
An agreement between National Instruments and the University of Florida allows registered students to obtain one copy of LabVIEW software for academic use. Please visit LabVIEW Student Licensing page for more information on how to obtain the software. - Lynda.com
lynda.com is an online training resource partner of UF. lynda.com's online training library has over 1,100 courses, ranging from Web development, animation, and video graphics to courses in business software and Microsoft SharePoint training. University of Florida does not have a Licensing Agreement for Student Licensing of MATLAB. However students can use the software installed on the UF owned computers in the labs on the UF campus (ex. CIRCA Lab). If you wish to purchase a MATLAB license for use on your personally owned computer visit MATLAB for Students page for more information. - McAfee Virus Protection
One copy of McAfee VirusScan Desktop Protection is available to students for home use currently for free. Visit McAfee Student Page to obtain more infromation and to download the installation files. - Microsoft Developers Network Academic Alliance (MSDNAA)
The Microsoft Developers Network Academic Alliance (MSDNAA) product is a licensing program donated to the College of Engineering by Microsoft which allows all College of Engineering units, students, faculty, and staff to use various Microsoft software products and online resources for academic and non-profit research purposes. Secunia PSI (Personal Software Inspector) is a free security scanning tool for private use, removes the inconvenience from home endpoint security. The Secunia PSI’s unique security scanner automatically scans your PC and alerts you whenever your installed programs and plug-ins require updating. It even patches them for you or, if a patch hasn't’t been issued by the vendor, recommends the best course of action. - SPSS for Students
The University of Florida maintains an IBM SPSS Campus Edition agreement. Under this agreement, students can lease one educational license of IBM® SPSS® Statistics Premium software for educational purposes. Follow this link for detailed information. - X-Win 32
Student licenses can be bought directly from Starnet's website. Student licenses must be ordered and delivered online and must be purchased with a credit card. Only students enrolled in a degree program are eligible.
