(Companion Agreement to the University of Florida AutoDesk Design Institute 7 License Agreement)

Autodesk® 3ds Max® is licensed in two ways. You can participate in the 3ds Max 8 license agreement or you can participate in the Discreet Superpack license.

Autodesk® 3ds Max® delivers flexible, state-of-the-art, productive tools designed for 3D artists in many industries, including game development, design visualization, and visual effects. Character Studio is included in 3ds Max 8 software. For more infomation visit Autodesk's 3ds Max web site.

How to participate


Only Colleges, Departments and Offices of the University of Florida can participate in the 3ds Max licensing agreement.

3ds Max & Character Studio licenses are licensed separately from the Autodesk licenses. To particiapte in the license agreement, print out the 3ds Max and follow the instructions within.


Obtaining the software


Upon receiving the paperwork, arrangements can be made to obtain the software. For other departments, once we receive your order forms, it will take at least 3 working days for our staff to process your order.

When your order has been processed, arrangements can be made with our office to obtain the software. Only staff designated by the Department Liaison can borrow the software media for a period of one week. An extension to this time period is possible. Call our office to arrange for an appointment to checkout the Autodesk media and documentation.
